    • Tonight was shepherd's pie, made with minced left over roast lamb from last Sunday. Tomorrow will be a beef stew.
      Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

                Very nice actually, he gave me a pile of young shoots, I stir fried them with garlic and chilli for a few mins, then piled on bread. Just nice and tender.

                • Stewing steak and kidney hash. Lots of carrots, celery, potatoes, beans, sprouts, cauliflower and butter beans in it!
                  The butcher didn't have lamb's kidney so its pig's - don't think I've ever had that before.

                    • Greek green bean stew with added giant butter beans (I've just measured one - 4 cm long) and 'hanging tomatoes' rather than tinned, made in the pressure cooker with less olive oil than this recipe: https://athenapot.com/instant-pot-gr...olakia-ladera/

                      I'm hoping we'll have yogurt with banana and a drizzle of honey for pud. If not, it'll be ice cream.

                              • I didn't grow the beans myself, sadly. I've given up growing any kind of bean other than dwarf French beans. Too hot and windy here for anything else. But beans are a big thing in Spain and I've found a few great online suppliers.

                                Endive, pear and blue cheese salad, gigandes plaki with the rest of the giant beans.
