  • Peppered Turkey breast with lots of mixed veg.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

            • We had lunch out today, so whatever it is for supper it won't be much. I've got the makings for a cauliflower, pear and blue cheese soup. But the idea of making it is too much at the moment.

                      • Lunch: shredded pork stir-fry (from here: https://thewoksoflife.com/pork-stir-...et-bean-sauce/) with some extra stir-fried veg and rice. A while since I did anything Chinese. Maybe this will inspire me to start up again.
Supper: cauli, pear and blue cheese soup.

Plus, start off a Ken Forkish overnighter. And flapjacks with some chewy ginger bits.

                        • I asked my husband if there was anything he particularly fancied this evening. Yes bacon, egg, sausage, tomato and fried bread was his answer. So that's what we're having. I've just put the breadmaker on.

                          • ^Looks like our husbands are on the same wavelength today. Mr Snoop requested an all-day breakfast for lunch without enquiring what the other options might be. So stir-fried pork it is tomorrow. Saves me a bit of a palaver today, so not sorry. Got more time to play with the pots and pans tomorrow.

                              • If the power comes back on venison steak, red wine sauce & chips. If it doesn’t it’ll be tin of tomato soup warmed on the wood burner with a fat slice of french bread.
