  • Singapore noodles
With chicken instead of pork. Worked well.

      • Lunch: chicken 'roasted' in pressure cooker plus veg. Got two broccoli heads plus a couple of smallish caulis to be picked, plus seemingly endless amounts of cabbage. I keep giving cabbage away but you'd never know... Does cabbage freeze well? I'm guessing not terribly.

Supper: spiced carrot and apple soup.

Bread of some variety. Made white rolls yesterday and frankly, though the colour and texture were spot on, the flavour was a bit lacking. Might try some French almost-granary-like flour to make some more today and see how they go.

                        • Yesterday's steak , once defrosted, turned out to be stewing steak.
So I made a hotpot with a pastry topping.
(Finished off our final carrot. They did well last year!)

So , tonight will be finishing off yesterday's food.

Same as yesterday but with frozen runners instead of sprouts.

                            • Omelette (probably ham, cheese and mushroom), a few chips, peperonata out of the freezer, peas, onion rings and the remnants of yesterday's Waldorf salad. Maybe a slice of bread to make a sneaky chip butty if I've got room.

                              • Lunch: chicken sandwich (leftover from yesterday's chicken) and a yogurt.
Supper: broccoli and Stilton soup (made but not eaten yesterday).

More bread. Yesterday's loaf was acclaimed the best one yet and got finished with the sandwiches (it wasn't a massive loaf, honest, but even so...).
