  • I added some madeleines in the French style to the pud. Pretty good. Advantage: so small they cook in next to no time. Disadvantage: so small you need to eat four to feel like you've had even the amount of a single proper bun. Anyway, I've decided to call them French lady cakes. Just the kind of thing French ladies could eat (one of, not four) and not worry about their hips.

              • Last night was roast chicken, roast parsnips, mashed potato and swede, carrots, french beans and gravy.

                Tonight more of the roast chicken, potato scallops, homemade coleslaw and asparagus.

                        Picked nine things from the lotty today. Asparagus, Rhubarb, Spinach, Red kale, Lettuce, Rocket, Land cress, Garlic greens and Radish.

                              • I have some chicken breasts , leftover tomato mozz salad and spinach . So plan is to stuff the chicken with those , seal and brown off then cook in the oven in some fresh chopped Tom's, herbs and some of the garlicy oil from the salad. Served with a green salad
