Tonight smoked cod baked in milk for my husband, lamb steak with mint jelly and gravy for me, potatoes dauphinoise, cauliflower cheese, asparagus and carrots.

Bread (50% wholewheat with biga) and more madeleines (finish off mixture and call it a day for as long as we can last without).
Lunch: total rubbish and not owning up!
Supper up the valley cooked by Italian friend. Sounds like pasta e fagioli but with rice instead of fagioli. Doubtless it would seem like dishwater if I were to make it, but equally doubtless it will be delicious made by him. Ah well.
