                    • Supper yesterday: spiced carrot and apple soup.

                      Today: proper Sunday lunch for once! Big joint of pork, loads of veg, pots. Strawberries and cream for afters.
                      Supper: not much if anything, I reckon.

                      • I was going to make cottage pie tonight but suddenly don't fancy it so I think I'll still use the mince but make some kind of pasta bake. I would say Lasagne but I haven't got any sheets of lasagne in the cupboard but have got other sorts of pasta. It will have a rich garlicky tomato sauce and creamy bechamel and plenty parmesan on top. We'll have some garlic bread with it.

                        • ^Bet that's fantastic with any kind of holey pasta that can fill with sauce - penne rigate or macaroni or fusilli. I might steal that idea, thanks.

                          • Having discovered two open packs of lasagne sheets in the cupboard (and lots of canned and frozen tomatoes to use up), I shall be making a large batch of lentil lasagne.
