Also had prawn toast followed by Thai chilli beef and chow mien, got the leftovers for lunch and steak tonight.

Fillet of plaice, homemade tartare sauce, creamed leeks (just picked), carrots and peas and either potato scallops or potato gratin.

Second breakfast on the lottie of sausage and mushroom cob. Tonight wild salmon and lime risotto with various fresh greens.

Supper yesterday: spiced carrot and apple soup.

Today: proper Sunday lunch for once! Big joint of pork, loads of veg, pots. Strawberries and cream for afters.
Supper: not much if anything, I reckon.

I was going to make cottage pie tonight but suddenly don't fancy it so I think I'll still use the mince but make some kind of pasta bake. I would say Lasagne but I haven't got any sheets of lasagne in the cupboard but have got other sorts of pasta. It will have a rich garlicky tomato sauce and creamy bechamel and plenty parmesan on top. We'll have some garlic bread with it.

^Bet that's fantastic with any kind of holey pasta that can fill with sauce - penne rigate or macaroni or fusilli. I might steal that idea, thanks.

Having discovered two open packs of lasagne sheets in the cupboard (and lots of canned and frozen tomatoes to use up), I shall be making a large batch of lentil lasagne.
