  • I think tonight will be smoked sausage, salad with homemade mayonnaise and a bread roll.

Raspberry milk jelly with raspberries in it.

    • Gf…do you add all milk to the jelly- replacing the water- or just a small proportion?
I ask because I use fruit juice and low fat yogurt instead of water in mine.

I use a very small amount of boiling water to melt the jelly into and then top up with cold milk. It means it doesn't take long to set. If I add frozen fruit it sets even quicker. Jelly always reminds me of children's parties. If I make jelly with tinned fruit eg mandarins, I add all the fruit juice.

          • I was due to do burger and chips tonight, but we've decided that we're having ice cream instead .

I don't know, I wouldn't think that it would matter. We always use whole milk for everything though. Proper butter too and plenty of olive oil.

                • Well, the chicken is on its last use-by date. So chicken it is. I could be lazy and just roast it with the veg in the marmite. Or I could see about marinading it n spices and having it with salad, which sounds far more enjoyable in these temperatures.

Edited: Decided to go with tajín Mexican spice mix as a rub and done with just onions and potatoes in the marmite. Salad on the side. Melon for afters.

                  • I think we're having chicken too, cooked in the air fryer. Garlic bread and salad with it.

Maybe ice cream, with or without fruit.

Thanks GF. We have proper butter and olive oil too, but not whole milk.

                        • It was going to be a tumble salad featuring the rest of yesterday’s pork and some avacado.
However, we had a very large lunch - including pud, so I don’t think I’m up for anything else now

                          • Te he…OH has just pulled a potato plant which was looking very yellow( all the rest are healthy green)
Turns out we now have a bowl of new potatoes which we’ll cook, roll in butter and chives and have those on their own.
Nothing like eating your own spuds which ,half an hour ago, were still in the ground!
