  • As we've got lots of fresh bread I think I might make some kind of soup. So many choices. I started off fancying, mushroom, then carrot, then mixed vegetable. Now fancying adding a few prawns, garlic, ginger and maybe some coconut milk. It's a good job Mr GF is easily pleased when I'm in "experimental" mode.

              • Before I had eventually decided on what kind of soup to make yesterday my husband put in a request for prawn risotto for today so I decided yesterday's soup would be carrot, thyme and ginger in the end.

So tonight will be prawn, mushroom, sweetcorn and broccoli risotto.

                              • I'm going to put some braising steak in the slow cooker shortly with some onions, carrots, celery etc. I think we'll have it with mashed potato and swede, cabbage and beetroot.
