  • Back to having a decent lunch rather than supper, I think.

Sausage and saffron risotto with salad. Mince pies (didn't make them the other day) and cream.

Bread. So probably that for supper.
Location: north-east Spain, where the sun is too hot, the rain too torrential, the hail too big, the wind too windy and the snow too deep. Last frost: usually mid-April, sometimes first week in May. First frost: mid-October.

    • I think tonight is going to be tomato, pesto and mozzarella bake, asparagus, garlic bread and ribs.
Add onion rings to the above.

I've never even heard of that, let alone made it. Sounds intriguing... Have googled and sounds like something I should try. Do you have a preferred recipe?

Its the first time I made it and my custard bit didn’t set very well ( so I microwaved it!!!) but I’ve seen recipes at lowers temperatures than 190C so I’d give them a go instead next time.

Its utterly light and delish and refreshing if served straight from the fridge.

not decided on supper yet but the last of it will be consumed for pud!

                      Something on toast for supper?
