Tonight I'm going to roast a small chicken. I'm going to try doing it in the air fryer for the first time.
I've taken all the online advice onboard and I'm hoping for tender meat and crispy skin.
We'll have it with garlic bread and salad, maybe a few beer battered onion rings too.
There's some jelly left from yesterday for afters. (Lime jelly with mandarins in it).Comment

Well, yesterday's chicken, cooked in the air fryer, was definitely very tender. I never got to find out if the skin was crispy however, due to unforseen circumstances which meant it was cool by the time we got to sample it.Comment

Last night I stripped all the remaining meat off the chicken and we had a "justa" with it and date chutney.
This morning the chicken carcass can go in the slow cooker to make stock. I'll make raspberry buns too.
Tonight scampi, homemade tartare sauce, curly fries and salad.Comment
