Risotto, red kale, seared pigeon breasts and asparagus.

This afternoon made bolognese sauce and pasta bake. The kitchen ended up full of the aroma of garlic and tomatoes.
We had pasta bake with parmesan, garlic bread and rocket salad for tea and tomorrow we've got a few portions to give away.

Edit:- Saffron risotto (with fresh garlic greens), red kale, seared pigeon breast drizzled with date molasses, and griddled smokey asparagus.

Mutton sausages, the last of the psb, and celeriac crisps
Followed by blackcurrant tart and custard

Chips, Cornish pasty, peas with gravy.

Lunch: Pork loin with carrots cooked with dried apricots. Seems a shame to add anything else.

Supper: pea soup.

Bread. And maybe some biscuits. Cherry and walnut cookies come to mind. Haven't made those in a while and I bought rather a few glacé cherries, thinking I would...

I always seem to want what others are having. I had been fancying pasta after reading about 3 posts in a row about pasta, so we had it last night.
I hadn't really decided what we are having tonight but then I saw Bren's post .......Cornish pasties. I can practically taste the pastry, but as my husband ends up with acid if he eats too much I'll make Cornish pie (top lid only) I think. We'll have mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage with gravy.

Cherry slice........drool, drool !!!!!! I am trying to stop myself reaching for the Yorkshore W.I. Recipe book circa 1955. I am sure there is a recipe in there for cherry slice.........and I love cherries.

Supper yesterday ended up being peanut butter on toast. And lunch turned out to be spag bol, sauce from freezer. Better make today a veg day! Did have some fruit, but not enough for five a day... On the positive side, I didn't make the cookies either.

Lunch: aubergine parmigiana.
Supper: pea soup.

More bread.
