  • Morning, all ok here, nicos that's a good idea,it needs a thump machine instead of a hammer and a strained arm,oh another one of my wacky ideas is,how about a loop band with keep your distance on,when out and about, the other day a friend was walking in the street, nothing about, then a voice spoke, the body was almost on top of them with no mask on,they were tolled to get away, some peeps will never get the message, someone with the equipement could knock em out, just a band with the print on,fairy coming shortly, window day,and me of to costco,
Snoop we have all that can be got for now that is of benefit,i just have to either take him in the car with me on small things, and wait for peeps come sit with him when they can, thank you, apart from a ruddy buyer,i am greatfull for what support i do have, and the fact i still have him,we get so used to just joing what we normaly did, have a good day all

    • Good afternoon, wishing you well LD, have been out with OH shopping so must be Tuesday a bit on the damp side outside today but having a bite to eat then I think I will go and get out daughters dog and take her a walk, then carry on tidying up, a very slow, long job to get this done, but on the other hand someone can always find something that needs done enjoy your day and have a look around and you will find something to smile about

      • Good evening, turned out to be a wet afternoon, went up for the dog, let her out the house when the rain started, not heavy but enough to get you a bit damp, had a walk round the park, then took her back home and just reaching the front door the rain stopped, when back home I got ready to go out to the garden, first action was to feed the birds, got that done then started raking some gravel that I will be moving and it started raining, just tipical mother nature, again a woman picking on me

        • Morning all.

Another bright but chilly morning. And another busy day ahead. Last day of madness for ooh... a couple of days at least. Won't manage any weeding but with any luck will make a good start tomorrow.

No other news to report. So I'll just wish you a lovely day. Stay safe and well.

          • Morning Snoop and all.

Mild and damp out. The garden is beginning to fill up with birds as the autumn progresses. Two wrens chasing each other around yesterday, the robin harassing the dunnocks, and great and blue tits have started using the feeders again. Not many blackbirds yet, though one sits possessively on the fence most of the afternoon.

The local footpaths are getting muddier and more slippery as more people use them more often. I walked along the road out of the village yesterday, thinking there would not be much traffic (it's usually quite busy as it's used as a cut through short cut). Wrong! Delivery vans I expected, but lots of cars passed me too.

Oh well. Hope everyone is staying safe, and have a good day all.

            • Morning, its a bright-ish day out good for walking but like mothhawk says the fields and footpaths are rather sludgy this time of year so I'll be sticking to the lanes instead.

              Have a good day

              • Very grey here again. It looks as if it's going to rain although it's not forecast until this evening. I must go to the allotment today and remember to bring home some potatoes, apples and garlic.
I still haven't managed to try and convince elderly relative to stay at home because when I called with food she was out again and she says she can't hear me on the phone (I'm taking her to the hearing specialist next week). She only replies to the texts that she wants to reply to.

                • Morning, had a run over to our daughters yesterday to meet up outside, good job we went when we did, now in level 3 on the Covid scale and not allowed to travel outside of the county. Raining now, so I guess a quiet day in, plenty of hobbies to keep us busy so we will be fine. Stay safe all.

                    • Good afternoon, a showery day today, had to go and collect something from screwfix for my son, as he had to go into his work today, I thought the roads would be quiet but no heavy traffic everywhere, so as I was out I dropped into a GC for some seeds, and even though I wasn't going to buy any, I came out with six packets of seeds and of course they are all seeds that I needed I am now going out to the greenhouse for a wee whilee

                          • LD your idea of what is kind and mine are a wee bit different . Was out in the greenhouse then into the hut, I had sown 4 different varieties of lettuce and they are all up and stretching toward the light, so I now have them on a shelf with lights above them, not special lights but the LED strip lights that are used for under kitchen cabinets so will see how they do, back in the house and lights were on at 20 past four and now pitch black with heavy rain, so won't be back out tonight

                              • I can hear the rain bashing against the windows at the moment but during the day we've only had a couple of light showers. We have picked (and picked up) lots of apples today, both Bramleys and eaters. When several local relatives, friends and neighbours open their house doors next they will find bags of apples waiting for them on their doorsteps. I even remembered to bring a sack of potatoes home for us ..... but forgot the garlic.
