Mornin n'alln'all

Another glorious day ahead here too. It's lovely having a few more days of summer -I wasn't really ready to let it go so abruptly a few weeks ago .

Not sure what today will bring but I have a couple of rugs being delivered within the next 3 hours so I'll need to keep my ears peeled for the delivery van.

We had a lovely BBQ last night. The plan for this evening is to light the fire pit at the bottom of the garden as it's supposed to be 20C at 11pm

Time for another brew!

Glorious weather again here too. I'd bought and set up a new smartphone for an elderly relative. I delivered it to her first thing this morning. She must have taken to it. Calls, texts and emails from her already. Then off to the allotment. I didn't do as much as planned as my sister called round but it was nice to sit in the shade with a cool drink and just chat. Just spent a long while in a queue on the phone to the appointments office at the local hospital and then tried explaining why the telephone appointment they have made for a relative is absolutely unsuitable as she is very, very deaf. (Would you believe the appointment is with an ear specialist?) I think I'll treat myself to a G & T now with lots of ice and think about making a meal.

Afternoon all, had a wander around the coast with the camera, still cool and overcast although the sun is trying to peep through the cloud. 16 degrees is warm enough for me, might go for a bike ride later, take care all.

Afternoon we’ve spent the day in the garden more reading than gardening though. I’ve got apples in the dehydrator and I did intend to make chutney but it’s a shame to be indoors. So that can way until tomorrow.

What a wonderful evening...clear sky, lots of meteors and satellites..owls, bats, crickets....4 deer and 10 pheasant !

Nice and warm still but very, very damp now.

Morning Nicos, FF and all. That sounds like a wonderful evening Nicos.

Pleasant here again. I shall be making raspberry jam this morning. The raspberries are excelling themselves. I only have 4 canes of Joan J, but they've been fruiting since June and are still making flowers and fruit. Plenty of tree bumbles and carder bees around to pollinate them. The freezer is full so jam it will have to be.

Morning all. Long-trouser weather here this morning. But due to get back up into the low to mid-30s later on.

Not much news. Loads of work to get through. Got another commission yesterday. Don't feel I can turn anything down in case there's a massive downturn in the coming months. Not going to be much done apart from work for the next few weeks, though.

Mothhawk, I'm so jealous about your raspberries. I absolutely love them. Raspberries and anything in the plum family are my favourite fruit.

And even more wildlife this morning....a mouse in the bedroom Thank you Hibou.

Wow MH.....I have raspberry envy too! Mine have been rubbish this year - which a I’m putting down to lack of water/ mulch.

Today will be blackberry picking then possibly start picking up the hazelnuts on the lawn whilst the weather is dry. Might leave that another couple of days though....I’m in a bit of a procrastinating mood at the moment...
