I am in the same boat Snoop Puss I have opened the fridge and cupboards multiple times today, stared at the contents and walked away non the wiser. It may be baked beans from the can, yes I am a heathen
We ended up with a stir-fry with rice, plus added prawns for Mr Snoop and M (I'm allergic to shellfish). I've decided we'll have more stir-fries in future as a way to use up little bits of this and that (and when I'm lacking inspiration).
Anyway, I love beans on toast. Nothing heathenish about them as far as I'm concerned!
Trout fillet cooked in foil with lemon, butter, and capers. (12 minutes in the air fryer). Boiled potatoes with butter, and veg, probably French beans and carrots.
I got a chicken leg out of the freezer last night. Unless I get a better idea in the next few hours I'll cook it in the air fryer and have it with garlic bread and salad.
I need to try and like tofu more... I think my problem is to do with the texture. I've seen recent advice that the trick is to boil it in salted water first. Do you have any tips, MelanieSW?
As for us, we had fusilli with sun-dried tomato pesto. M brought a St. Georges Day cake. No idea what the connection with St. G is but it was very nice. A sponge base with almonds and sugar on top.

Why would I ever think that I needed a better idea? Roast chicken, garlic bread and salad was the perfect combination.
