Not home grown, sadly. But from a village maybe 10 miles at most from us. I went past the shop just as they were being delivered. Twenty minutes later, they'd already sold kilos and kilos. Everyone in our village waits for the cherries from this village. They are absolutely fantastic. 5 euros a kilo, but money well spent. Next year, when I'm retired..., I'll buy loads for preserves and jam.

                          • No idea at all.
Can't be bothered in all honesty

I have a feeling it’ll be a skip dive job into the freezer and see what needs eating up.
Failing that, a egg salad butty

                            • Simple result…. I’m defrosting a Spag Bol I made for the camper only the other day…I can always make another few over the next few weeks.

I do love my freezers….I guess they are the nearest thing to a takeaway when you live almost in the middle of nowhere.
                              Defrosted bread for breakfast too!

                              • I'm thinking of making a scallop and some kind of veg risotto tomorrow. I have very little experience with cooking scallops. Does anyone know if it's better to fry the scallops quickly and add them to the risotto at the end or add them raw, direct to the risotto to poach in the the liquid at the end.
