OH accidentally defrosted the brined mutton to have as our Sunday roast…so he’s offered to find a recipe ….( It’s usually eaten like slices like bacon in a butty or a salad ) I think it’ll need soaking in water a bit like a ham first….

Corned beef pie with mushy peas and onion gravy.

Did intend to have this last Sunday but we had a late change of plan.

Got home very late from the fair last night, so it ended up being Cassoulet (from Aldi, sausage a bit white peppery but otherwise good).

Lamb's liver stroganoff with rice tonight.

I gave Mr GF a choice: salmon or soup. He has picked soup....."tomato soup please."

Jacket spuds with tinned tuna and sweetcorn, grilled cheese and a side salad. (The last of our lambs lettuce we picked last week before the frost. It’s kept well in the fridge!)

    Brioche buns for burgers tomorrow.

For tonight, spicy aubergines with rice. Three minutes to prepare and frankly not that much longer to eat they're so good.

Very busy today but would love a mincemeat cake for the weekend, so better get a move on and make it happen.

Broad bean risotto. Sounds odd, tasted delicious. Yogurt with frozen strawberries and blueberries for pud.
