      • Choices, choices...

Spiced carrot and apple soup (haven't made your soup yet, Bren, I discovered a bag of sad-looking apples that needed using up) or steamed veg and a piece of fish.

        • Quick Southern fried chicken with oven chips and a salad made unhealthy with far too much mayo, although it has got grapes in it too

          • The other half of the beef casserole from yesterday.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

                • I've taken beef stew leftover from last week out of the freezer. I'm going to go and mix some herby Yorkshire pudding batter next to go with it.

Phew. I read that as Snoop at first!

Anyway, we went round to see an Italian friend for assorted reasons. He did us pasta for lunch. Not good for the diet but delicious nevertheless. Probably steamed veg for tea. Mini romanesco and caulis that won't grow any bigger by the look of them, and yet more broccoli. Will add some shop carrots for colour.

                      • The other day Mr GF was drooling while watching Nadiya Hussain making sweet and sour prawns with noodles on the BBC. As I actually remembered to buy cashews in the supermarket I think I'll have a go at making that tonight.
