        • Steak, roast potatoes with onions, mushrooms and mixed peppers.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.

          • Beef stew tonight cooked slowly in the slow cooker and a Yorkshire pudding cooked in the new oven.

Also a sponge cake. I think layered with blackberry jelly and whipped cream on the side.

            • In the end, we had a beany kind of mash with the fish. Very good it was too, actually.

Lentil soup for supper. Just for a bit of variety.

                        • We were going to be finishing yesterday's stew today with dumplings but Mr GF has put in a request for curry. So chicken and sweet potato curry with naan and the stew will be for another day.

                          • Mince pies for pud for supper (friend up the valley is cooking the main course). Mincemeat (M&S) supplied by the same friend, so no need for me to make any just yet.

                            Bounty bar biscuits for gifts.

                            Two loaves of oat bread.

A bad influence! Moi? That's exactly what my one of my sister in laws used to say when she came for a meal....and parked her diet at the door.
