That's a possibility. I had a lemon roulade in mind. Just need to find the raspberries lurking in the freezer somewhere.

For supper, not sure. We had a huge lunch at 4 pm after no breakfast. So not feeling very hungry at all. Supper might be a bun and a cup of tea.

    • Beef stew done in the slow cooker with boiled potatoes.

            • Both chicken thighs and half a loaf of my bread are defrosting right now. I'm thinking either chicken soup or chicken goujons or chicken curry. I might let Mr GF choose.

He has picked soup so chicken and veg soup with a few garlic croutons for him and bread and butter. I'll get the slow cooker out.

              • Pork escalopes with a sage sauce, couscous, roast vegetables.

Off to zap some bread into breadcrumbs now.

                      • I'm thinking rocket salad, beer battered prawns, either tartare or Marie Rose sauce and fresh made bread and butter. A bit like a big battered prawn cocktail.

                            • Lentil and vegetable stew. Ideally, I'd bung some chorizo in it, but our friend up the valley is nearly vegetarian, so the stew will be quite austere.

But to brighten things up, French madeleines.
