  • Yesterday we had a fish and chip lunch so it was cheese on toast for tea/supper.
Tonight it will be our daughter’s farm produced fillet steaks with jacket spuds and her home grown chard. Fresh fruit salad and kefir for pud.

    • Meant for yesterday but there was a change of plan...
Steak, roast potatoes, mushrooms mixed peppers and onions.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • Salmon tonight. I've been trying to decide between having it with jacket sweet potato and salad or potato dauphinoise, carrots and broccoli. However Mr GF has just put his two Penn'orth into my musings so now we're having salmon rissotto.

If it wasn't for the fact that we have a vegetarian friend visiting, I'd be round to yours quicker than a smile, Mr B.

Said friend and Mr Snoop have been out all day. Doubtless they've had lunch out. So supper tonight will be lentil soup. Just as well I love the stuff.

                      • No supper duties for me tonight. But need to make bread for assorted folks. Plus some carrot and apple soup for the freezer with extras for lunch.

                        • Yesterday we had the chicken and mushroom without a pastry top as I was already fancying pastry (Cornish pasty) today.

So Cornish pasty, mashed potato, carrots and broccoli with gravy. Off to zap some pastry in the food processor now.
