  • Pork postponed to today. We got so embroiled in some tidying that it was too late to start. So our usual standby at the moment: fish and salad with some potatoes for a change.

    So, pork for supper today.
Not sure about lunch, probably a sandwich.

    • We are having Pork from a local farmer, along with tatties, beans and carrots from the garden, there would have been sweetcorn, but that didn't make it into the kitchen..............................I ate it raw.

          • Well, last night went a bit awry, but not in a bad way. Went scrumping for figs and came back a bit late, so lentil soup for supper. Evenings are cool enough now for that. And the crème caramel was a revelation, as the caramel ended up somehow mixed into the crème bit. And we much preferred it. More like egg custard and no faint hint of burntness off the caramel swimming around on the plate. So that's how we'll have them now.

Lunch: leftover soup and another crème no caramel.
            Supper: labneh pie and salad.

                • Lunch: all-day breakfast! Mr Snoop will be pleased. Last of the crème no caramels.
Supper: salad and then sausage and saffron risotto.

Yogurt and a ring cake for the freezer (and us!). Forgot: made fig tarts yesterday with the leftover pastry from the labneh pie. Brushed with a little honey to disguise the fact that the figs aren't totally jam-like yet. Yummy and easy-peasy.

                    • It's courgette time...

last week was courgette with onions, pancetta, chilli and cream; sliced topped with cheese and grilled; cooked with soy sauce and sesame oil with supernoodles; in an omelette with cheese; made into confit of courgette.

Had them for dinner last night, will be having them for lunch today...

Then there's the sweetcorn, broccoli and beetroot to eat...

                          • Didn't make the ring cake yesterday but did make the pastry for rondo bites. So extras today include finishing them and making olive oil bread and seed crackers.

Lunch: gazpacho and bread, yogurt with figs.
Supper: baked avocado pear with blue cheese and salad, maybe a rondo bite or two with yogurt.
