      I try to buy organic chickens these days but they cost £15 or more each...it certainly makes you want to make them go much, much further!

                    • Just going to make pastry as my husband's choice for tea is Cornish pasties. We'll have them with mash, carrot, peas and gravy.

                      • Yesterday's meals did not go as planned: farfalle with sausage raù for lunch; mince pies and cream for supper. Very strange having just pud for supper. Mr Snoop said it seemed very decadent!

                        Today:
                        Lunch: roast chicken drumsticks, fake roast potatoes and assorted veg. Not sure pudding will be required, but if so, an orange.

                            We had 2 crabs left over from yesterday’s platter so I’m thinking of a gratin dauphinois and side salad with it.
