I've got sausages that need eating. Sausage butty anyone? Brown sauce or ketchup?

Edited: Sorry, no ketchup. Can offer sweet chilli sauce made by a friend, which is amazing. Or Geeta's mango and chilli chutney, also delicious. Or HP brown sauce.

We did m9st of our errands yesterday so an indoor day today other thsn picking grandson from school.

Thanks for asking Flo. Hibou isn’t well at all
Her heart has slightly improved but her kidneys have taken a nose dive. As the consultant was ultra sounding her heart I asked if he had time to check out her abdomen, which he did. Sadly he found a large mass of cancer pressing on her stomach. Inoperable.
So- she’s on a drip for the next 3 days, coming home at night, to hopefully kick start her kidneys and appetite. If not, the decision will have to be made
All very worrying of course.

We started off nice and sunny here this morning but it’s looking like your winds have started to affect us a tad.
Nothing like you are describing.
I guess it’s coming with a potential for flooding again?

My supermarket delivery arrived this lunchtime. No substitutions or missing items

The district nurse is supposed to be calling to see Mr GF today. It's not an urgent appointment though.

Snoop Puss, my favourite sauce, at the moment, with sausages or sausage rolls, or practically anything, is HP fruity sauce. I am not a hoarder, but I have stocked up on it ....... you never know when there might be a shortage

If I feel up to it I'm going to make some more Christmas puddings this week for my sister and her partner. Christmas pudding is his favourite food. In fact, according to my sister, when he realised that they were hosting two extra people for Christmas dinner, his first thought was that he wouldn't get as much Christmas pudding as usual. My sister cheered him up by saying they'd have two instead of one. I'll surprise him and give them 5 instead of the usual 4.

We've had rain all day here and the wind is supposed to rise at around 5pm. Very bleak looking and nearly dark already.

I think I'll close the curtains!

We have got off quite lightly here in Dublin, a little rain and a strong breeze.

Nicos, so sad to hear the news about Habou, my fingers are crossed for her.

Jay, hopefully the antibiotics will see off the pain in your toe.

Hibou update!
Shes doing so well on the drips that they are going to discharge her tomorrow …. So chuffed. We’re very realistic , but it’s lovely seeing her back home for the night . Hopefully the steroids will supercharge her for a while at least.

Oh Jay…. Between you and Rary….. I sort of have visions of a three legged race for some reason. Hope you both improve soon.
I once had an ingrowing toenail which was steadily getting worse and there was a chiropodist working in the room next to mine and I asked if he had time to ‘play’ with it. Well…he did a great job and bandaged it up beautifully. Then I needed to put my workshoes back on and drive to my next appointment. Would it fit?…nope…some had to rip off all the dressings and hobble about for the rest of the day
So..yes…a big Ouchy ouch from me to you both…massive sympathies x

Fingers crossed for Hibou, Nicos. It's lovely you can have her home again. She's certainly a fighter, isn't she, to keep going so well against the odds. She must be very much loved.

great news Nicos - the little sods know exactly what they are doing don't they. I remember when I had to take my old cocker to be PTS ... I was alright till my son got upset then it set me off and we were both in the car balling our eyes out

Jay22 I live in fear of something like this happening as being diabetic it could lead to serious consequences

Today I did the run to the chemists for this months supplies and got drowned ... Mrs G went out with her Tuesday dog walkers club to somewhere she hadn't been before. They ended up by the river and they were a bit reluctant to go in ... apart for one daft dog

Good news about Hibou's improvement Nicos, long may it continue.
We're really lucky with our Pharmacy, they deliver our pxs free.
