Not sure where the week went
GF big gentle hug, they are hard I remember dad's xx
Rary hopefully your grandson is now in the mend and blood tests come back fine.
It's been a lovely week of weather, yesterday was the best day yet. Was out shopping then came back and started having a clean up outside, cleaning gutters and windows which I will continue today though I'm a bit stiff this morning. Kind of over did it a bit
Brew anyone?

Morning CG and all.
A cuppa would be very welcome, ta CG.
The sky is just beginning to lighten, no clouds, lots of stars still twinkling. Laundry day today so I'd better get dressed and get a move on.

Good morning.
I've had an unbelievable 8 hours of sleep, and only woke up once. Practically unheard of. I'm wondering if stopping one of my nighttime tablets, on the pharmacists advice, has helped. Time will tell.
It's chilly, the heating is on, but no rain forecast. First job will be a load of washing as 3 pairs of fleece "lounge trousers", (basically pyjama bottoms) that I'd ordered for Mr GF arrived yesterday evening and it says wash before wear.
Hopefully we'll visit Mr GF's brother today. I've got a few bits to take for him. I also need to put our prescriptions in at the doctor's surgery.
Thank you for all your kind thoughts, and virtual hugs, yesterday.
I got a couple of texts from my sister's partner last night. The other half of his Thompson and Morgan order, birthday present, had arrived. They're only winter flowering bedding plants, but I think we all need a bit of colour to brighten up our lives in winter.
Right. Coffee time.

Morning all.
Broken ribs are no joke, rary. Is this the grandson who couldn't move the other day? Poor lad. No coughing, no laughing and no lying in bed for the next six weeks for him.
Good start to the day but extremely cold. Mr Snoop has started requesting a hot water bottle at night and the cats are now sleeping on the bed rather than stopping out.
Had a good day yesterday too. A phone call from a lady with a three-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback looking for another young dog to socialise with. Fingers crossed the puppy and Jack get on. Plus I met one of the women who works at the pound that we got Jack from. She's a dog trainer and says she'll come round and see Jack next week as I'm struggling to deal with him. So two very good developments as far as Jack and I are concerned.
Got masses to get through today, so better make a start.
Have a great day, everyone.

rary, give your grandson a hug from me. I broke a single rib once and it was unbelievably painful. Mr GF managed to break 5 a few years ago, a couple of them in multiple places, after falling down a whole flight of stairs with a fridge freezer, which ended up on top of him.
He ended up being transferred to a large teaching hospital in a nearby big city for 5 days where he was treated as some kind of geriatric superman. After five days he walked out to the car floating on a mixture of morphine and tramadol. I think that he slept sitting up in his recliner for at least a week.
The sun is shining brightly now and there is not a cloud in the sky.

Well, I don't feel cold today.
I shouldn't, the central heating has been on all day. I put my washing out, in the sunshine, this morning. Obviously, Sod's law, the sun immediately disappeared, never to be seen again today. At least it didn't rain, but my washing is still damp. I think, this winter, I might invest in a tumble dryer. Any recommendations, or otherwise?
We went out and did all the jobs that we needed to do. Mr GF's brother asked me to order him a new basic landline phone. I have now done it. He'll get it delivered in the next few days and I'll hopefully be on hand to set it up for him. I also filled our car up with petrol and then called to see our lovely mechanic at lunchtime. I just wanted to call and see him when I wasn't actually wanting anything, and as he has known Mr GF for over 50 years, I thought it might stir up some memories. He did tell us a couple of funny, but probably non PC jokes.
(the opposite of misogynistic).
I hope you're feeling better Flo. Is an early night on the agenda?
Snoop Puss, I hope the dog trainer helps you with Jack.

Good morning all.
It's still dark, and a bit foggy too. I've been awake since 4 am, but have now given up on dropping back to sleep and have made coffee. I was going to look online last night for some more unbreakable wine glasses as the last two that I bought a few months ago now look opaque and awful. I suddenly decided to check in a rarely opened cupboard. Would you believe two full boxes of four glasses, from the middle aisle of a certain supermarket. I can't remember buying them so it must be at least a couple of years ago.
I've just had an email from Royal Mail to say they're delivering my brother in law his phone on Monday.
Mr GF woke up a few minutes ago, but I told him it was only 6 am. and gave him a quick cuddle, and he's now fast asleep again. I'm probably even more awake now after a large mug of coffee.
It's still a half hour until sunrise.
Maybe some online shopping next.
