Leftover samosas with shredded red cabbage and carrots.
Process my summer leeks to get the samosa filling partway ready for use. Anyone else had Meera Sodha's leek and pea samosas? She uses filo pastry but I had some Spanish empanada wrappers that I used. Quite a bit easier than the filo palaver. Regardless of the pastry, the filling is delicious.Location: north-east Spain, where the sun is too hot, the rain too torrential, the hail too big, the wind too windy and the snow too deep. Last frost: usually mid-April, sometimes first week in May. First frost: mid-October.

Pork chops with a crispy coating roasted in apple juice. Got a hankering for green cabbage, but there's loads left of the broccoli I cut yesterday. So I guess it will be that plus carrots again. Might make an apple crumble too.
