It's a shame that they haven't been forced to spell aluminium correctly, even though that is now the recognised spelling.

Cleared 3 veg beds and covered 2 with bagged manure. Lifted some netting off another bed to let the birds have some fun.
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs! https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...lies/smile.gif

Moved the contents of the most mature compost bin to the to-be potato plot.
Quite a workout when the vegetable garden is 400m from the utility yard. Only 50m through the house but Mrs quanglewangle won't allow it.

Finished clearing the old lavender and the crocosmia. Excavated four buckets fulls of corms in the end. Now I just need to dig the area over ready for the new plants.

Clearing a big bed (4, 5 and 6 in my planting plan) ready for card'n'compost tomorrow, and hoed over some other beds for a compost top-up.

and some weeding and putting wood preservative on the shed.

Finished digging over the old lavender and crocosmia patch.
Weeded some of one of the strawberry beds.
Brought back all of the lavender branches, along with the grape prunings and the now finished tenderstem broccoli plants, for shredding in the next few days.

Took a pruning saw to the buddleja. Probably haven't managed to kill it though...

Finally finished cutting back a hugely overgrown Lonicera Nitida hedge. Should look much better once it recovers¨!

Sprayed an oil emulsion on my apricot and peach trees, as it is supposed to delay bud burst by 1-2 weeks (the flower buds are swelling already).

Weeded all my fruit trees and vines.
Gave all my fruit trees and soft fruit a good feed with poultry manure.
