  • I had a couple of sips of Mr Shed's red wine tonight ... but less than half a glass I reckon. Filled up on diet tonic water instead (I like that bitter taste)
I'm trying to have less than usual ... half a slice of toast not a whole one, one burger not two. I'm not at all hungry - I don't feel like snacking.

    • I've gotta say 2-sheds you make it sound like you don't like food, I couldn't eat or drink as you are - I've already lost the few pounds I put on over Xmas by just eating 'normally' every day.

I lost my added 4 lb SBP - but this last week, after mainly being good (apart from additional birthday blow-outs) I've put on a pound! Curses!

Hope that by next Monday's weigh-in I'll be properly on the way down. I've been SO GOOD - no nibbles in the evenings. It's got to be worthwhile eventually?

Yes I am and its a good job too. So far I've not lost anything which is a bit disheartening. Its ok though I'm sure all the fat has been converted into an equal of muscle!!

Still the exercise is doing wonders. I joined a gym back at the beginning of December and have been going 3 to 4 times a week. Lots of cardiovascular work as well as weights. I'm feeling loads better for it too. Sleeping better, brighter and able to concentrate more at work. Its amazing what a focus its given me. And I'm getting closer to my target which is excerise related. When I started out I was able to row 2k in 8 minutes. Now its down to 7:38. I'm sure in another couple of months it will be 7:20 and on the way to an ultimate target of 7:00. I'm hoping focusing on this rather weightloss will still indirectly get me losing a few pounds...

If you can definitely try and get exercise as part of your plan. Cycling, running, jogging, speed walking, aerobics classes, circuits etc. Anything that really gets your heart rate going and a sweat on!

              • I am going to join you all, only not until Thursday! I have my phd viva tomorrow and have been eating like a woman possessed for days on end, not helped by discovering two lost boxes of choccies on Sunday, both of which I have devoured. anyway, tomorrow I am going out to Feast India in Leicester which is an incredible all you can eat buffet with food from various different parts of India. it will hopefully be a celebration meal (unless I fail my viva). then from Thursday onwards I am dieting big time because i am a good stone and a half over my ideal weight. actually looking forward to it because I am disgusted with how tight my clothes are and I can't wear many of them right now. onwards and downwards all :-)

                • 2 lattes, sultana porridge, cereal bar, veggie couscous, 1 glass red wine.
Biked to shops & lotty: 30 mins
This is my daily regime now - if I can't get outside, I'll do 20 mins brisk walk on the treadmill (I still can't zip up my jeans yet, but slowly does it)

                  • Only lost a pound this week, so a bit disappointed. Dropped my pedometer in water yesterday and although I got it working again, it now seems to have given up the ghost, so got to get another one, OH has decided he needs one too

                    • I am sure I must have lost weight, been in bed for 2 days and eaten... 2 pieces of toast, 2 iced ring biscuits and a packet of cheese and onion crisps. That's all!
Trouble is I know it will only be water. The scales will tell me thursday if I am well enough to go to WW

                      Well done everybody else!

2 hour bike ride to other lotty. Feeling really good, and actually have hunger rumbles which I don't normally have.
