Currently grey and windy here but due to improve.
I was thinking about gf too Jay.

Didn't do anything outside yesterday, it was cold and I was so tired, just domesticated myself instead.

Yes please, I'll have a cuppa CG, perfect timing. I was woken at about 4.45 by the blackbird's beautiful song. I suspect his lady is planning to build in my winter clematis which has become almost hedge thick along its trellis. It's daylight outside, love the light mornings at last, groy hop a bit later.

Happy St Patrick's to Bramble and all.

Thanks for thinking about me. I'm here. I'm struggling, even by my standards, to get enough sleep though. I had an appointment to register Mr GF's death yesterday in the city centre. I took a taxi as due to lack of sleep and fearing that I might end up very overwhelmed.

The sun is shining and there is no rain in the forecast for today.

Morning all.

Yesterday must have been dreadful for you, GF. The taxi was a good idea. I remember doing that, visiting banks and making lots of phone calls with my mum after my dad's death. Very hard. Worse if you're dealing with it on your own. Thinking of you.

Bright blue skies here again, so will get the slow cooker on for some white beans today. And revive my starter to make a sourdough loaf tomorrow. And then it's back to cloudy weather. Mr Snoop has got music going, the pellet heater and I don't know whatever else. We definitely make hay while the sun shines.

Busy day ahead, so better get on with it.

it was quite a warm night last night. Virtually no sleep so I’m rather tired this morning. Off to grab a coffee to try to revive me a bit so will catch you later. x

As some of you were giving reference to how some people thought your partner wasn't suitable, my mother asked OH if she knew what she was letting her self in for, she then took her upstairs and showed her my bedroom, my mother had given up trying to keep it tidy, personally I thought it was fine, but OH was quite sure she would change me.
Actually I have just been asked by OH if I ever look to see if something needs to be tidied up, and of course I dont surely thats what wives do

It's a ridiculous hour, I know, but despite the odd yawn, I'm wide awake and my brain needs something to distract it. I'm now even considering streaming an episode of "House". Might it be suitably sleep inducing?? At least it will be something to concentrate on.

Morning all.

Woke to the dawn chorus today, a real spirit lifter. Did you get back to sleep, GF, or are you bingeing House? There's tea in the pot if you want one.

There's not a cloud in the sky and it's forecast to stay the same till the weekend so that's a spirit raiser too. Plenty to get on with in the garden, especially tackling grape hyacinths. Foolishly last year I ignored them. Big mistake.

Yesterday I weeded them out of the little border at the front of the house, which is one foot wide and three feet long.I filled 2 compost bags to bulging! And I know there will be zillions of tiny bulblets I just couldn't sift out of the soil. I still have the border the other side of the path to do, that one is six feet long, and just as thick with them. Their leaves smother everything.

Morning all.

Awake today a bit earlier than recent mornings, so in plenty of time to see the hard frost. Nothing like getting up later to make you think spring is well and truly here, when it isn't.

We have a self-seeded peach tree that is looking spectacular, covered in gorgeous pink blossom. Looks much better than any of our bought trees. So whoever lobbed that peach stone, well done. I think I might have to try this technique with other fruit!
