  • Morning all. I've just finished cleaning all the windows, (inside, it's raining out) as I noticed yesterday in the bright sunshine some looked quite streaky from the last time I cleaned them. I used vinegar then as my spray was empty, but last grory hop I got an eco-friendly spray that has rosemary in. It has made the windows squeaky clean and actually smells quite Christmassy. With that in mind, I shall cut some rosemary to push in among the Christmas tree branches. Should make it smell more real. 😉

    • I've decided not to buy a new tree too MH. I'll use last year's. My son reminded me that I've got three in the loft

      • Good morning all. Seems like it's my turn to have the sunshine today, a beautiful blue sky.
We are out for a grory hop this morning and will call into the library on our way,
Hoping to get inspiration for some christmassy bits while I'm out and about.
        Have a good day all,

        • Afternoon, won’t say good as it was supposed to be dry and all it’s done is rain!!
Lazy day today after treatment. Wrapped a few Christmas gifts so almost there. Granddaughter asked for a tutu skirt. Now does she was a tutu or just a frilly skirt 🤷🏻‍♀️. Daughter is still trying to work it out. Should never have asked her what she’d like! 😂
Have a good day everyone, catch you later! x

          • My first batch of Christmas puds are cooling now. I have found a suitable box and packaging. When they are cold, I will put two of them in the box, add a Christmas card, buy postage online, and fill in the customs paperwork. I must say that the pudding mix tasted absolutely gorgeous raw this morning when I had a sneaky taste.

Jay, maybe ask for a drawing or photo. I'm sure she knows exactly what she wants

rary, is everything okay? I am missing your friendly insults

Flo, 3 trees in the loft? Maybe it's time to turn into turn into Doctor Frankenstein and combine them to make an "amazing" single creation (triffid), no nuts and bolts of course. My mind is boggling🤯🤯

            • Evening!
Bought two real trees. A larger one for the lounge and a small one for my granddaughter to decorate in the far lounge. I’ve got a few projects for her to make some tree decorations to hang on it too. Obviously glitter, glue and a right old mess will enjoyed

Well done with the Xmas puds GF…just in time too - phew!

We’ll be decorating the larger tree this weekend - maybe tomorrow, but will leave the fresh Holly etc for another week so so , so that it lasts.
Our mistletoe in the apple tree is looking good this year. Plenty of berries…but having said that , I’ve not checked it out for a few days

                • Good evening, having stressing days just now as OH has been admitted to hospital, was down at the local clinic where the doctor was checking for a chest infection and while doing this he sounded her heart, and as it was racing along with high blood pressure we were advised to get down to the hospital as soon as possible, fortunately I was allowed to stay with her, she was put on a drip, but not given any pain killers, so I had to question this and was told there was no notification of requiring any, I told them to check her medical records abd while doing that I would give her a couple of tramadol tablets, which fortunatly I had Broughton with me, abd again later in the day I had to ask again about the pain killers the had no objection to me giving them to her, but the didnt have any in place the department, even though they had received her medical records so I was in the hospital till after ten on Tuesday night, back down for ten am Wednesday morning only to discover OH has been sitting in a chair all night as there were no beds available, it was also a diffrent shift on duty so again I had to ask about the pain killers , fortunately they had received wome in case he department, but were a bit slow administering them, so again I had to keep reminding them, OH was finaly moved on to a bed at five o'clock om. into to be moved to another ward at one thirty am. i had been with her till ten pm. I received a phone call this morning letting me know she had been moved, I had one or two things to do this morning so wasn't down till the back of eleven, only to discover that once again she wasnt getting any tramadol, I had a word with the nurse about this and also told her that I had some with me which I would let the nurse have, she went away to check up on what OH was getting , she then told me it wax 50mg. tablets that she was to be given and again I had to explain to her that the prescription said one or two tablets three times a day and one 100mg slow release tablet at night. What really got me was the fact that they were unaware of OH having two bone fractures in her back, especially as she had the x-ray in the hospital just a couple of weeks ago, and this evening I came home early as the hospital has been closed down to visitors due to a flu epidemic in the hospital, I could have stayed longer as I was in before the shut down, but as I went out the ward at meal times I didnt want to risk coming in contact with anyone who may have flu I will phone tomorrow to find out if OH is getting home, which I hope she is. I will let you know when she is home

                        • Good morning.

I'm sending lots of hugs, Rary. You must be so worried and frustrated. I really hope that you can get Mrs Rary back home, and into your care, today. It was hard for me to comprehend the lack of communication and sheer incompetence in some of the "elderly" wards when my husband was an in patient earlier this year. I often wonder how on earth patients with nobody to advocate for them even survive?

It is a cold and frosty morning here, only 2°C. I'm wide awake.

                          • Good morning all.

Sorry to hear your news Rary. In these days of everything being on computer systems, how can a hospital not be aware of notes from the patient's own doctor? Mrs Rary must have spent a terribly uncomfortable 24 hours. Hope she is soon home and back in your care again. I'm sure constant back pain plus worry does nothing to lower her heart rate.

It's a chilly morning here, glancing out of the window I can see the car is a sparkling white (it's black normally).
