    • Mornin n’alln’all
      Anyone fancy a brew?
I was listening to a couple of tawny owls earlier - they always bring a smile to my face. What a lovely way to wake up!

Speaking of sharing smiles- yesterday morning a couple of adult roe deer wandered casually across the field behind our garden.
Actually, we are in for a lovely day weather wise- we’re still forecast 29C for this afternoon. Probably the last chance to quickly line dry thick bedding …

Whats everyone else up to today?….I impulse purchase some spring bulbs from Lidl yesterday so I really do need to get those planted out .
Have a great day peeps- weekend is nearly here…keep sharing those smiles!

      • Good morning, run grandson to his work, went and collected a couple of bags of seaweed, then back home and went up for the dogs, took them a walk round the park then home just got in on time for the rain to stop not sure what we will do today might let OH treat me to lunch, that's if she is able to go out, I'm just going to offer to rub some anti-inflammatory on to her hip and leg, then will see if she is able to go out, well enjoy the day and pass on your lovely smiles
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

        • Well, I've had a good start to the day and all your posts, brews and smiles have made it all the better.

A long walk with Jack - he had a rubbish day yesterday, so needed a treat - Goldilocks temperature (not too hot and not too cold) and a fair day ahead domestics and workwise.

          Have a great day, everyone.

          • Good Morning All Dull but warm here. I've just finished hanging out the washing I did on Wednesday. I had to wash it again! I don't have problem with sardine tins, probably well practised for both me and Lord Ginger.
            Have a good day

Not sure about the rest of the day, it really depends on the weather.
Have a good one whatever you do,

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

                  • Good morning all.

Wow, Containergardener, I've just looked at the forecast for Sunday and it's predicting a low of 4°C .... in September ... in England. What happened to the season of mellow fruitfulness? I must try and remember where I put the hot water bottles.

The district nurse is supposedly calling today to give Mr GF a vitamin B12 injection. If she calls reasonably early I'll call and see my brother in law this afternoon. He wants me to order him a new phone.

The washer has just finished. Despite the threatening look of the sky we supposedly have only a 2% chance of rain here so I think I'll tempt fate.

                      • Morning all.

Overcast but mild here. The forecast is for rain tomorrow so the washing machine is earning its keep today while it's fine.

I'm another who generally has a tin of sardines in the cupboard for a quick supper or lunch.

Nicos, I've posted the jam curd recipe here: https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...rd#post2604715

I had some last night for dessert on baked apple with yoghurt. It's definitely not going to last long!
