  • Wow Lottie…you really can turn your hand to anything!…well done with the dress alterations
2 more sleeps?…sounds like the run up to Xmas! That really made me grin..thank you!

I’ve come in from gardening, mainly whilst I can still walk, but also to cool down a bit.
OH presented me with a choc- ice too ( I could get used to this!!!)

I have been looking into making my own lollies, but not using silicone .
I can only find full sized ‘magnum’ or cylindrical in stainless steel. Has anyone seen any small magnum sized ones on their travels?

    • Nicos,if need be,get some small containers, shape is not important as long as the top is wider than the bottom to pull it out,for intance small coffee cups,as long as you can puy a stick in it,does not have to stand up straight like regular shop ones, experiment, you know you eant to hehehe

      • I make lollies using fruit juice (thick juices like pineapple or mango work really well) in metal ice lolly moulds. But they're not Magnum shaped or mini-magnum sized. Like LD says, I'm sure you could improvise something. But if you want small metal moulds, might something like kulfi moulds do? You'd have to wait till the mixture was semi-frozen to stick the stick in, though, as there wouldn't be anything to support it.

        • Never heard of kulfi …hmmm…some good ideas there! Thanks

          • Mornin n’alln’all
Another dull start to the day with the promise of a lovely afternoon.
Works well for me…get indoor stuff done in the morning, garden in the afternoon, then sitting on the patio for drinkies in the last of the sunshine

Tomorrow, there is a vide Grenier I want to pop to to check out if there are spare plants up for sale
We created a new border for shrubs which have outgrown their pots, but there are spaces needing filling in… so that’s my excuse anyway

Enjoy your day peeps- and keep sharing those smiles….

            • Morning all.

Off to the seaside today, with a jazz concert this evening. Fingers crossed there's time for a fish supper afterwards.

Lots to do before we go, as a friend is looking after the animals, so better shake a leg and get things ship-shape for him.

              Have a lovely day, everyone.

              • Good morning Nicos and any other early risers.

It's overcast and quite chilly here, but I'm warm and cosy in bed. I think I might just nudge the thermostat on the heating up.

I did a load of washing yesterday and when I went into the kitchen I was horrified to notice that somehow a fuschia pink cotton top that I'd bought last year was in the drum. I could see it swishing around. I always hand washed it as it bled dye. I had just about resigned myself to pink everything, but unbelievably, there's not a hint of pink on anything else. I'm going to have to be more careful.

Lottie, only one sleep to go now. I hope you have a great time.

The coffeepot is calling. Time to have my first dose of caffeine.

                    • Good morning, another lovely sunny morning been ou walking the dogs and it felt so nice and peaceful walking over the fields with everything looking so fresh, well apart from me, Rosey the younger dog, who is a cavapoo, kept kept bounding all over the place trying to catch a crow, evidently she has never learned the concept of sneaking up on them and I am quite sure it was the same crow that she was trying to catch, well it looked the same, Daisy all she wanted was a biscuit so never wandered far from my side, she's beginning to show her age and I think the pace I set suits her fine, daughter and hubby are back today so no more early rises, wish you alo a pleasant day and lots of smiles

Hadn’t realised how loud they are when so close .
This one has been hanging around is for a few days- clearly looking fora mate.

                        • Good morning all and it's another beautiful day.
Plants are all watered and the greenhouse doors and windows are wide open.
Bedding is out on the clothes line.
Some domestics and then out in the garden.

Snoop, enjoy your day at the seaside, it sounds lovely.

Flo, have a good day and hope you find those elusive shoes.

Rary, early morning walks are like a tonic...calm and peaceful,.

Nicos, your lucky, I haven't heard a cuckoo in years.

Have a good day and enjoy the sunshine.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

                          • Morning, nope just noticed it’s afternoon!! Lovely and sunny and 20°. We were in Glasgow yesterday with friends and had a fabulous day. Everyone is so happy when the sun shines aren’t they. Feeling tired this morning though, think I’m too old to be out and about with the young uns now!
I’m still awaiting delivery of this whirlie so laundry is on clothes horses again. So much for the 2-4 day delivery window.
Wishing you all a lovely day folks! x

What a fabulous sunny day. Changed the bedding to summer covers.
Got three lots of laundry dry and stored away for winter.
Lots done in the garden in spite of my grandaughter visiting this afternoon.
                              Sleep well all.

Another sunny day ahead, but it’s started off sunny today for a change. Vide Grenier and gardening for me. Might sit in the sun reading for a while too. I have to read or I start looking around spotting things needing doing to add to ‘ The List’

Anyway….have a great day everyone…and watch out for sunburn!
