Our collie used to love blackberries she'd nudge you out of the way if it looked like you'd found a good spot to pick.

Our last girl had it to perfection, she just got her teeth around the Berry and pulled slightly like us picking.

Busy day and tired now. Hope for better sleep tonight but it's doubtful, seem to be really bad this last week.

My first horse was addicted to blackberries. He was a right pain to hack out on at this time of the year
Being an Appaloosa ( white with black spots) his mouth would be a mass of purple stain

Unfortunately another rubbish sleep tbh it's been pretty much ongoing for a few years, just seems worse this week.

Anyway heavy rain early hours but ok for a walk I think, then showery again.

Was going to re do the jam.this morning, may be a daft question but do I need to re sterilise the jars?

Plan is to go out for dinner (lunch to others) somewhere today as OH is off all week.

Sorry you're struggling with sleep, CG. Me, I'm struggling with waking up at the moment. Anyway, most morning jobs done. Now to get Mr Snoop dressed and off to the doctor's, see if his other scan results are back.

Got a few errands to do in the village too, then back to see what havoc Jack has managed to create in our absence and get on with paid work.

Yes to re sterilised jars CG. Just to be sure….you’d kick yourself if they didn’t seal properly .

Off out today….loads to do - I’ve a long list of things to buy/ sort out . Including chasing up a second shelf we ordered from the shop we bought the cooker from …and it STILL hasn’t arrived several weeks later. Think they need a bit of a talking to face to face seeing the same product is available online to be delivered a few days later. We only went with them back in July because they offered a 10€ discount. Irritating isn’t it

Good morning.

A bit grey and chilly this morning. Another with a rubbish night's sleep. I could neither get to sleep or stay asleep. I hate being wide awake in bed in the early hours. All my worries and fears seem to creep up and plague me. They always seem worse in the wee small hours.

Earlier this summer I got used to seeing a hedgehog trundling past the window most evenings. I hadn't seen him/her for weeks until last night when there he was again. I presume that it is the same one.

Good luck at the doctor's, Snoop.

I've just slipped out of bed quickly and turned the thermostat up. Brrrr!

Bread in progress , will bake this afternoon.

Aw can't beat seeing a hedgehog. We've not had our heating on yet but will need to Sweep the chimney and process some wood thats heaped up in the garage shortly.

We swapped over to the winter duvet yesterday it seems a bit early to me but it was needed.

Morning all,bright with grey sky here,all the best with MR Snoops results,enjoy your lunch CG,got to find MY motivation for house work,seeing as it's not garden time,I too feel tired even after a sleep,my trouble is my brain seems to be on the go at the wrong time of day,yet some days is hard to wake up,i think it's an account off us all having to much to handle as we get older,still got the skip,and no response from anywhere,rang local councilor,left a message,nothing,went to his home,and got no response,we could not even get the gate open to put a note through the door,and no can get in touch with the council,it all has to be done online,and only done through a persific think like rates and green bins ext,nothing for misscalaniouse enquieries,very frustraiting,all i got is a no for citizens advice,so will have to try that,nothing even within trading standards,and yes they are a legit waste carriers plus i have paperwork ref the hire of said skip,and no more money either asked for or taken out the bank,on googling it has been a regular thing for a few years in many places,i have not been refused on account off anything wrong,they just not whant to respond and collect,they have already been paid to collect and dispose of,so they in breech of contract,am going,got things to do,have a good day all

Snoop, my thoughts are with you this morning, hoping you get good news for Mr.
CG, what a nuisance having to wash and sterilise the jam jars all over again.
Bren, we replaced our summer duvet with a middle weight one, don't want to put the winter one on just yet.
yet.it looks like a domestics day here unless the weather improves.

I've got four things that I want to make this week: lemon curd, banana loaves, birthday puddings a.k.a Chris***s puddings, and Lebanese aubergine dip.

I think my next job is to put half a block of butter in the freezer ready to grate for the puddings and make the lemon curd.

My brother in law has already been on the phone to ask me to add some things to my tomorrows online grory hop.
