We have a sunny start to the day with a week of lovely warm and sunny weather forecast.
I’m also hoping to get more gardening done…a sort of pre autumn clear up. We didn’t do any last year …at all…and I don’t want another Spring like this year having to do both the autumn clear up and prepping for the growing season.
I do like to leave large areas wild for insects etc to over winter but I’m talking about flower and veggie beds.

So , a bit of that..plus there is a small vide Grenier I want to visit. Not that I need anything of course!
I also have a massive bowl of stewed apple to freeze in 500g bags.

So, a bit of a pottering day for me

A pottering around day here as well Nicos, you know doing those little jobs that get put off.

Nicos hope you find some bargains at the vide Grenier, I went to a car boot the other week and found a messenger bag to replace my aging Levi one.

CG I have 3 none raised beds, brassicas, roots then everything else, it works for me its basically just growing in the next bed along. If you join the two together you could still have partitions, but 3 beds smaller might be easier less walking around them.

I'm still in bed. "Somebody" woke me up at 3.30 am, because they thought it was morning. I then struggled to get back to sleep, whereas they seemed to have no problem at all.

Congrats to Snoop and Flo. Did you both get told off for chatting in class when you were at school?

Having glanced at out weather forecast for the next week there seems to be rain in it every day from Tuesday onwards. Hard to believe. We're forecast to get into the mid 20s again today.

A bacon butty would go down a treat, please.

I think it's time to go and make myself a bucketful of coffee now.

Could someone point me in the direction how to save tomato seeds again. I've forgot.
Thought I'd save some of the seeds of OHs colleagues tomatoes, a nice beef tomato.

Good morning all, and the sun is shining.
just had bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes, don't know if all that will fit in a butty Nicos.

CG, Saving tomato seeds, scrape the seeds out and put in a glass of water.
Leave overnight and drain off the next day washing the jelly off the seeds.
Leave them to dry thoroughly and then store them in brown envelopes.

Morning all.

A bit muggy here today. Looks like the weather could do anything this afternoon. We're on an orange warning for this afternoon, so heavy rain, large hail and strong winds. But the actual hour-by-hour detail shows next to nothing. Anyway, I'll have to go and cover up the car windscreens in case of hail.

No significant walk for Jack this morning due to hunters and at least one large dog. Fingers crossed the cats are OK.

Not much else on the cards. Domestics and work. Though I suspect the domestics will have to wait till tomorrow as Jack is far too full of energy at the moment. No chance of getting any sweeping done. And if I put his toys in his box, it just encourages him to turf them out and then go commandeering other objects.

Actually, I know exactly what I'm going to do next. A little eyelid inspecting!

Good afternoon a muggy day today, was at church this morning but OH was too sore to be going, we were out for a short time on Thursday and Friday, so when she got up Saturday morning feelin fine she decided to do some cleaning, today she can hardly move so once she's back on her feet I will give her a loan of my glasses, that way she wont see any windows that need cleaned nor dust or dirt or piles of dishes etc. ect. I think my glasses must have a touch of magic when they show everything and everywhere clean and clear,
Enjoy your snooze Snoop people of your age should be taking it a bit easier, and I see Mothhawk mentioned you reaching a nice round 15,000 is that mm. or cm. or even inches and what part of your anatomy has reached that?
Right off to get ready to go up to our sons for tea, so enjoy the day and those who are on holiday tomorrow enjoy,keep smiling but give a thought for us that dont get holidays
