    Morning

A cool cloudy day here, time to get my thermals and lined trousers back on.

No hot water bottles here we use an electric blanket instead, its used for 30 mins before bed. I remember as a kid having an Aga shelf in the bed wrapped in a blanket to warm the bed.

    enjoy your day

    Morning all.

Not looking good here at the moment, weatherwise, either. The forecast is for storms all day.

Hot water bottles still in use here too. The other day, Missie had plonked herself on mine the other night and when I moved it as my feet were too hot, she gave me a proper telling-off. She has at last learned the word no but answers back in no uncertain terms.

On the cards for today, more of the usual work. And I'd better step on it, too.

    Have a great day, everyone.

Rubbish sleep here too..hopefully I’ll crash out tonight!

Its raining here at the moment so I’ve packed some extra waterproofs….and I’ve popped in my hot water bottle, so all aspects covered!

    Enjoy your day peeps.

    Good morning all.

Sleep is eluding me yet again. Three and a half hours really is not enough for man nor beast. I am warm, comfortable, pain-free and wide awake! Another couple of hours would be wonderful.

My online supermarket shop will hopefully be arriving between 10am and 11am.

I've just looked at the weather forecast. It looks like a batten down the hatches type of day.

Rary, I hope your hand and back are improving.

Nicos, I hope that you get some decent weather for your trip.

    Evening n’alln’all

Sorry to hear you are still struggling with your hand Rary. I guess these things take time- especially as it was so bad before the op?
Hopefully now you are driving again you won’t need to be walking around so much? Might that help your back?
    Speedy recovery…keep positive x

No real news at my end apart from going off in the camper for a couple of days tomorrow. But I’ll still be around on here

We’ll be putting the heating on tomorrow too seeing as the fire won’t be lit. Can’t let Hibou get cold!
What a change from just a few days ago!

Hope everyone manages a full night’s sleep tonight. It’s not a full moon for another few days…so no excuses!

In Spain, my normal retirement age would be 66 years and ten months, but I'll be retiring a bit early, which is allowed in Spain if you forego some of your state pension. And I'm starting to feel like time is a more valuable commodity than what amounts to not many euros. A bit depends on my calculations, though. Anyway, fingers crossed.

And again, my fingers, not yours.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble. Do you have to go back for another check-up at the hospital? I presume so.

Edited to add: makes no difference here if you're a man or a woman, retirement age is the same.

Rary, burning doesn't sound good. How is it today?
Hand feels ok today Snoop but have had to take pain killers as my back was extremely sore, so that could possibly mask anything, but my fingers go blue if cold, hoping that this will stop once the swelling goes down, I can feel OH watching me all the time as she knows I don't usually take painkillers and whenever I move its a casual what are you doing or where are you going and yes I know shes just concerned, but it means I can't sneak out to do anything😕

Afternoon All It's been sunny until now, but the clouds have gathered and we've put the heating on. I've been in the Escape Room with a jigsaw. Is retirement in your sights Snoop?

What a great idea, GF. I'm the same with getting the stones out, so messy, so I may pinch your idea and make some cherry jam too.

Good afternoon, dry but cold today, we t out show this morning OH is going out with her old workmates tomorrow, Tuesday being cour regular day for shopping, she wanted to go to a shop near the coast, where unfortunately I noticed that the tide was in, this scuppers my plan to go and collect seaweed while shes out tomorrow, which proves the saying from Burns, " The best laid schemes of mice and men gans aft agley" not doing much today as I need to sit on ma hands, figuratively speaking, as having been a bit ambitious yesterday my hand felt as if it was burning last night, and no I havent told OH no sence if worrying her, or more likely me getting wirried by her🙄 right off to do a bit of reading so have a good day and remember to keep smiling 🙂🙂🙂
