  • I've had this year's first proper radish crop today. I've eaten the roots already (craving fresh veggies, I couldn't resist for long), and will have the greens wilted for tea probably into pasta, and with some wilted dandelions as well).

    • The Judas tree/bush has finally managed to put on a show of flowers not just the one or two like it has done for the last few years.

        • Spent the night on zoom with my family chatting and quizzing.
Great to meet up, even virtually.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

          • We ate the last two potatoes from last years crop (wiljas) last night but I have had a furtle in the greenhouse border and there is hope. The first earlies (swift) in there have actually got potatoes on. They were planted on the 7th March (7 weeks ago) but were well chitted when they went in. How long can I wait before I put a spade in?

              • We do need some rain, hopefully not torrential flooding through x

                  • Blackbird over the valley giving it gyp.
                    Cuckoo also over the valley.
Acequia (rainwater drainage channel) has been running for weeks now. Lovely to hear, like having a stream right by the house. Especially nice when I'm outside in the veg patch. I'll miss it when it dries up, though I won't miss the lakes in the floor of the valley.
This site being back up and running. But definitely don't like friends being divided.

                    • The rain is keeping away all the people who drive to our village to walk their dogs so the footpaths and nature reserve were almost empty yesterday. (Fair weather wimps!)

                            • I have just been having a real "down" day when I just wanted to rant at the world and all the idiots in it. My husband just came over and gave me a cuddle! I feel so much happier. I am so lucky!
