I eventually got the Coronation chicken I've been fancying. I had it with a salad and bread and butter.

Left overs tonight…but in the form of bubble and squeak and pork.

Finishing off the peaches tonight…boy are they juicy!!!

I think tonight might be eggs in purgatory, but I might add sliced courgette to the Italian tomato sauce, more like ratatouille without the aubergine. Garlic bread.

Cheese and biscuits later.

Nicos, is so hard to find proper ripe, juicy peaches, or nectarines near me. A couple of Summers ago one shop had them all Summer. It was bliss. Usually all that are available are the rock hard ones that go mouldy before they go soft. A complete waste of money.

These were on offer in Lidl GF.…I didn’t expect much from them so early in the season…but oh boy are they yummy!

Know what you mean though about rock hard then mouldy in a blink of an eye

Ripe fresh peach, a sprinkle of sugar and clotted cream. My idea of perfection in a bowl.

ooooh…* wonders if there are any ripe raspberries in the garden to create a ‘variation on a theme’ of a peach Melba?…* tootles off to see….* crosses fingers….

update!…almost 200g of juicy raspberries!!!

Our usual Saturday tagliatelle, bol, garlic bread, pesto and Parmesan.

We had sausage sandwiches at lunchtime on thick wholemeal bread. Not had that for ages.
