  • More of yesterday's chicken and beetroot, corn on the cob, some kind of salad, asparagus and still deciding between a few new potatoes or garlic bread.

I think I'm going to make a raspberry (and whisky) trifle.

      • Well, I have cold chicken breast I cooked yesterday which we were planning on having with a salad.
( I wonder if somehow touching that raw was the thing affecting my tummy last night?)
We have a leg of lamb defrosting for tomorrow to have partly roasted …and the rest minced and cooked and also curried to freeze.

              • I've just given Mr GF three choices: Quiche of some kind, OR ribs, OR bacon, egg and tomatoes. He made a very quick choice of bacon, egg and tomatoes. We'll have bread and butter with it and finish off with more of yesterday's trifle.

                    • Left overs for today, some will even make it into the freezer.
What I forgot to mention was that the roasties are the last of our Charlottes!
Thats pretty good going as far as storage is concerned isn’t it?

                      • I think that I'll make a quiche of some kind for tonight. I've got some bacon left over from yesterday so I'll also do some dates wrapped in bacon, some potato scallops in beer batter, corn on the cob, beetroot and asparagus.

The last of the "little" trifle.

That is taking a diet too far! My suggestion is to make the cabbage into coleslaw. Then add another interesting salad.

Sorry Nicos, I read that wrong. I thought YOU were having ONLY cabbage and jacket spuds tonight.
