  • I really must try this home-made mayonnaise lark again. Lovely stuff, but it's been ages since I last made some.

As for supper, courgette patties with salad? That would be a good excuse to make some mayonnaise. Though Mr Snoop has just discovered Heinz mayonnaise with caramelised onion in it and loves the stuff. He was peckish a couple of days ago and decided he would make himself sandwiches with it... No idea why I bother to cook sometimes. Judging by the relish with which he ate them, he liked the sandwiches more than the meal.

          • Bread is making itself in the breadmaker and Mr GF will be getting his favourite leek and potato soup.

I also sneaked into the frozen food shop yesterday and stocked up on ice creams and lollies!

Slight change of plan. No courgette fritters, but ratatouille instead. Also the last of the "Coronation chicken mayonnaise" with the chicken Kiev.

                            • Didn't go out last night for supper in the end. So local version of Parma ham to start, grilled lamb loin chops and asparagus, tomato salad and bread, local cherries to finish (much better than the last lot). Off out tonight. Be hard pushed to eat as well as last night, though.
