3 Helibees flew over @ 7am this morning...............noisy beggars I can tell ya..........

They look like Apache helibees. A very rare breed, and to see 3 together is virtually unheard of.

Meet Melvin Mole - I think he's very young. Found him in the garden this evening.
He was very cute, so cute I let him go into next door's garden to play

Sand Martins (a bit fuzzy but they were flying at top speed) and their burrows

Nice picture. There were some of these hovering around my forget-me-nots today, going from bloom to bloom like a tiny hummingbird.

I was really surprised at the size - i always thought they would be wasp-ish in length!

Lovely. My second favourite spring butterfly is the Holly Blue. My favourite is the Orange Tip, been around for a couple of weeks now but I never seem to have my camera with me.
