  • My first rhubarb of the year.
Mine is sadly a late variety. I watched in envy as others' rhubarb at the allotment started growing from early February, while mine didn't even break its buds until late March.

I made four jars of kumquat marmalade.
Thanks again, ameno for the tip-off about the Lidl kumquat.
it was a tenner well spent.
I got a very pretty plant, ..... a jar of posh marmalade ......AND ......
a couple of little seedlings have popped up today.

              • Loads and loads of radish pods. So many, I'm not sure what to do with them all. And there are so many more coming, too. I left about half a dozen of my daikon radish I had in the ground over winter to bolt, but I think that was way too many. Two plants would have been plenty, maybe even one. The amount of flowers and pods they produce compared to normal radishes doesn't even compare.

                    • Rhubarb. Made myself a pie.
Also, the goji shoots were sweet and tender, with a slight bitterness, sort of like slightly bitter broccoli.

                        • More of my greenhouse early potatoes. They've done really well. Just two plants left, which have been evicted from the greenhouse to let me get the tomatoes into their final spots. Once they are gone I'll have to wait until mid-June for my outdoor International Kidneys to be ready.

                            • Harvested the first of our strawberries. Also fennel, globe artichokes, broad beans and last of the rhubarb. And a small sack of elderflower for making cordial.
