My very first asparagus spear.

I keep looking longingly at the few spears that are up, but the crowns were only planted last year so they are forbidden fruit for this season. Look out next year though!

Yesterday I picked some self-seeded perpetual spinach. Today I picked some rhubarb. That's my fourth rhubarb picking this year, with lots more to come.
