    • Be interesting to see how all your different tomato varieties turn out SJ
      LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

      • A bit of a move around/tidy up today ....
        Toms (too many to mention .....!) cuces, lots of chillis, sweet peppers, salad leaves, carrots, pumpkin, courgette,strawberries and 3 bags potatoes (outside) :

            • Well this is GH2...just the one side, the other side is the same, double tow of toms...about 33i think and chillies down the middle tis a little bit of a jungle

                      That broccoli will be getting pulled up soon, as it's too big for the tunnel, and it's producing a paltry amount of very spindly spears... remind me never to grow broccoli or purple sprouting in there ever again!

                          • Thanks Marie, this is the first year I've tried them in baskets. No slug damage! There are woodlice eating the fruit in one of the baskets though.

                              You have masses of strawberries there bario - how many plants did you plant in your basket? Mine have done alright, just a bit sparse really - think I should have put a few more plants in .... I'll know for next time!

                              • Just one plant I think, Susie. They're 2nd year runners that I dug up in February, so they were well established... the rootball basically filled the basket.
