  • It does take an 8kg washload though. That's handy in this house.

We bought a Miele vacuum cleaner once. It was rubbish! Never again.

            • Most of my seeds have either been nibbled or peed on by rats so I'm possibly the only person on The Vine that's actually in need

              • Why is it with kettles they don't have db ratings. Most are far too noisy.

Would that be big enough to take a kingsize duvet?

is this a plea to let you have the seeds as you'll be broke paying for all these that you won't have any money left for gardening items

edit: she's gone so not a cunning plan!

I'd like a new cooker. We've been using the gas one that was left here. I've learned to use the hob but I'm scared to use the oven. We use the old combination oven instead - but the microwave bit has died and without it the oven's not terribly efficient.

...and the tumble dryer sort of died. You can only turn on the heating element by pressing the reset switch at the back... and only turn it off again by switching off at the mains (behind the fridge freezer). Good thing my men have long arms!

                          We're waiting till we move.
