Glad to hear Jack found his way home xx

Nicos tea and snacks are an essential part of any diy.

Despite it raining at 1-ish the laundry was almost dry that surprised me.

    enjoy your evening

    • Busy day. Rain kept off but have been busy prepping in the kitchen. Chinese tea worked well, not a recipe I've used before.

Well done Jack finding your way home. Here they always say put hoover contents outside for them to smell and some of your clothing.

      • Morning all.

Quite cloudy this morning, but high clouds so not expecting any rain. Not yet at least.

Mr Snoop is in the garage with his Sunday morning helper. Jack is outside as well, barking at a stone (I kid you not - he's been barking at it for about 40 minutes). And I'm about to start some domestics.

        Have a great day, everyone.

                • Good morning.

It seems as if we've got the best of the weather this morning, here in sunny Yorkshire. It is not forecast to last. Rain and cloud are in the offing for later in the day.

There suddenly seems to be quite a bit more bird activity. There's a pair of magpies flitting around looking, I think, for a desirable nesting site. There are a few male blackbirds around too and the odd little bird.

                  • Mornin n’alln’all

                    Dull and misty here too.
Hadn’t realised we are in February already! Thanks for the heads up on that one.

Snoop- Jack really is an interesting character! Give him a chest rub from me…or does he have a more favourite soft spot?

I’m surrounded by cats here- 3 to be exact- which is lovely…and a dog not quite as nutty as Jack. Pity though that I’m allergic to him and he can’t understand why I won’t stroke/ cuddle etc with him when he uses his soft, soulful, sad brown eyes trick on me..aww.

Enjoy your Sunday peeps…I did spot the smiles overhead earlier- carrying something, but I’m not quite sure what?

                    • Good morning.

I have slept really well. I just wish I knew what rhe magic formula is. Definitely the best night's sleep this year.

I have just been looking at the Royal Mail website. The app is completely hopeless when anything goes slightly wrong.

Despite even the website saying that I need to post the items before the 5th of the month (as I have already paid for postage) if I put in the tracking numbers for the items I can see that they are in the system and the large parcel was actually delivered yesterday ... on a Sunday. There is even a photo. I can only presume that Roysl Mail inherited their software from The Post Office!!! That was a proper scandal, but although it was all blamed on software, I have never heard of any explanation of what actually happened to the missing money. It has to be somewhere. Did the system only take money from postmasters, or were some given large unexpected bonuses? Or is there some Machiavellian mastermind out there who pocketed the lot? Has there deen another cover up? Has anybody asked?

Time for coffee now. I'll just grab a fleece. I put my favourite oversized fleece hoody in the wash the other day and discovered that I had another identical one.

Aaah, first coffee of the day.

The sky is grey and there are no sunny intervals in todays forecast. I was struggling for ideas of what to buy for my brother in law's birthday this week. Eventually I had the bright idea of texting his cleaner/helper/carer who he says knows him better than he knows himself. Problem solved, birthday present ordered.

I seem to have a lot of birthdays in February's calendar. Next week there's a 2 year old and a 100 year old.

It's good to hear that you're enjoying your holiday, Nicos. You'll probably need another to get over it as it sounds quite energetic.

Ignore the weather and have a great day everyone.

                          • Afternoon all.

It's a grey day, no actual rain or drizzle but no wind to blow away the blanket of clouds. In my area (severn-trent) the reservoirs are now 92% full after the above average rainfall, which looks good for the summer.

Good to know Jack came home, Snoop. No doubt he had a great time out on his own. Bet your visitor was relieved, he/she must have felt awful losing your dog. Unless they have fled scared most dogs can track their way back home easily, especially as mealtime approaches.

GF, I don't think any money went missing from the post office, it was the software bugs and errors that showed an apparent shortfall where there actually was none. There's a lot to be said for old fashioned double entry.

                            • Proper dark, dank and dismal again, the lawns are sodden and I live on the top of a hill, roads still flooded and still snow on the higher hills. 5 degrees, windy and sleet and snow forecast for later this week, our local reservoir was down 7 metres last summer, it's now flowing out over the oerflow.

                              • Evening all.

Hope you all had good days.

Great news about your reservoir, burnie. Though the days of rain do get a bit tedious. The ground here has reached saturation point and there's now loads of standing water and sludgy mud everywhere. Another ten days of drizzle by the look of it here. We're fortunate, as heavy rainfall forecast further south and west.

Catch you all tomorrow. Hope you all get to enjoy what's left of the day.
