    • Good afternoon!

I was awake for a couple of hours between about 5am and 7am but then never heard a thing until the phone woke me up at about 11am. One of my sisters calling for a natter. I've made coffee and am now waiting for the heating to work it's magic.

      • Good afternoon, cold but dry just now was a wee bit late getting to church this morning, OH had suggested that I get ready for church before helping her but as she has been sick when getting out ofbed the past three or four morning's I thought it better that I assist her first then get ready, as it was, though she felt sick she was fine, so got her through to her chair in the livingroom then instead of getting dressed I made up the bed first, big mistake once i started getting dressed OH told me I had ten minutes before the service started, so quickly got ready then once up at church, no parking spaces, had to go to another car park which meant the service was started by the time I entered, so that won't be happening again, well not this week and no I wont be telling OH as I would never hear the end of it. I have bought an alarm system which should allow me to get out to the garden, I have tested it in various areas of the garden and it works fine, though to be honest I am very reluctant to start using it, maybe I will wait a couple of weeks yet before going out to the garden
Seei g the price of the designed frisbees, makes me wonder how some people think, what's wrong with using a lid from a biscuit tin, the joy is twofold, you get to eat the biscuits then you have a frisbee. Have a good day keep smiling and remember to pass them on
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

        • Better half still not sleeping so neither am i, but she does seem to be improving a bit, lay listening to the wind, strong, but not damaging strength. Had some rain but not a lot 6 degrees at the moment. Most local rivers have dropped from serious levels, though one is rising again at almost 5 foot above summer level.

          • Afternoon, just back from a few days in Ayrshire. Lovely as it was it was either raining and blowing a hoolie or just blowing a hoolie! It’s not much better here!
rary, can you maybe get some anti sickness tablets from your GP for your OH? They really do work.
Enjoy your afternoon folks. Off for a cuppa if anyone wants to join me. Hope everyone who’s not feeling too good feel better soon. x

            • SNOOP, thank you for the kind words and virtual hugs.
A months mind mass is a regular in Ireland, don't know of it happens anywhere else.
It gives a but of comfort and closure to the family and also time to catch up and reflect.
We had a lovely get together and had tea and coffee afterwards in the community centre.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

              • Good evening all.

A relaxing day. I got a Royal Mail delivery this afternoon, on a SUNDAY!

I have been shopping online again in the early hours It amazes me that I can find so many things that I never previously knew that I needed.. I am actually impressed with today's delivery. A pack of two microfibre hair wraps to wrap around my hair when I get out of the shower. I've already tried one. A lot less bulky than a towel, fastens with a button, doesn't fall off and in ten minutes had soaked up a lot of water. Straight into the washer

It's cloudy here and feels cold, 4°C, but the snow that was forecast for this week has now disappeared from the forecast.

Rary, do try and relax a little.

Snoop, maybe you should buy Jack a boomerang (available online) instead of a frisbee. He could still chase it, round in a circle, but you end up catching it. I'm sure that he would love it.

                Sleep well!

                  • A brew, Nicos? At this ridiculous hour? Why not? In fact, as there seems to be no danger if me falling asleep , I think I might even have a coffee.

Common sense has prevailed. I've helped myself to a mug of Bovril rather than coffee.

                        • Morning all.

I'm about to make some more blood orange juice if anyone wants some.

Mr Snoop loved the idea of a boomerang. Just not me throwing one. My aim isn't good.

Plans for the day for me are a bit of domestics and paid work. Maybe make a loaf?

                          Have a great day, everyone.

                            • Good morning

I just got awakened by the district nurse banging on the door to drop some supplies off for Mr GF. The District Nurses seem so different from hospital nurses.

I know that they visit my brother in law from time to time. He, who insists he never wants to set foot in a hospital again, thinks very highly of them.

I rang him yesterday. He seems okay, but like the rest of us, can't wait for better weather.

                              Roll on Spring....

I think I will have the coffee now that I swopped for a Bovril in the early hours.

Snoop, I've never actually thrown a boomerang but I'm now thinking that I'd like to try. It's making me remember when Mr GF bought a drone. He walked miles following it to rescue it as he was not very good at flying it. Far more exercise than he ever envisaged.

While making coffee I was watching an Amazon van making a delivery down the street. Their grey vans seemed to appear overnight a few years ago. They are everywhere these days. There must be some kind of depot on a local industrial estate near the M1 junction, as sometimes there is an endless queue of them trying to get onto the main road.

Time to get up now, I think.
