  • The dog walk was grim. Car temp said it was 10degrees, certainly wasn't warm. Could've done with gloves on tbh.

    • Morning all.

Would someone like to send some cold, wet weather my way? I'll gladly swap for some of mine. Not as cool this morning for the dog walk and I set off a bit earlier as well.

Another shopping delivery this morning. What a boon this is! Saves so much time and aggravation. Before that, a bit of watering and work. An afternoon nap is on the cards as well.

      Have a great day, everyone.

        • Mornin n’alln’all
Cold, blustery and drizzly . ‘Feels like 9C’ according to accuweather. If that matey! I’ll be needing my jumper and coat at market.
So long as there are breaks in the rain I’ll be happy so I can plant out my new bedding plants and geraniums!

Hospital appt this afternoon and then a quick grory hop on the way back. We bought a live mouse trap earlier in the week ( got mice in the kitchen) but it needs returning…the door spring was missing

Enjoy your day peeps…and remember to share those lively smiles!

          • Good morning all.

14°C with rain in the offing, I love the phrase "in the offing".

I took new photos of my baby tomato plants this morning. What a difference a week makes.

            • Florence Fennel I hope that you had a good day yesterday and enjoyed your cake.

Nicos I'm sure that I read somewhere that if you catch a mouse in a live trap you have to release it over a mile away or it will find it's way back. I don't know how true this is though.

Snoop Puss I felt the same as you when I first got online food shops delivered. I suppose really we have come full circle. In the "olden days" the grocers and butchers would have delivery boys on bicycles. Obviously newspapers and milk were delivered daily too. We had a fishmonger who visited once a week. I am lucky in that, living in the suburbs of a small city I have a choice of several supermarkets for deliveries. I usually stick to one as I prepay for a monthly "delivery pass" with them and for £4 a month I can have deliveries on any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at no extra cost.

My youngest sister texted last night to ask if I fancied going out for lunch tomorrow. She suggested a place we've been to several times when Mr GF was alive. Still too many memories for me, I don't want to burst into tears in public. We're going to try somewhere completely new to us.

              • Good morning all, heavy showers, intermittent sunshine and very breezy.
Its 15 degs just now, but its not looking good,

Snoop, its good that your able to assess home deliveries especially living out of the town.
You can have my rain as well, water butts and buckets overflowing.

There is no demands on my time, or nowhere I need to be do I will be outdoor between the showers.
                Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
