I've had sad news too. My GG who was married in May, rang to tell me she was pregnant, but it is ectopic. She's in surgery this morning

It looks like we are in for a warmer day today…it’s just stopped raining and the air smells fresh and lovely.

The washing machine is earning its living but I’m not sure if it’s worth trying to line dry it given the dark clouds on the horizon.

OH had an appointment very early this morning so I sent him with a shopping list seeing as he was so near to the hypermarket…. Talk about an impulse purchaser…oh well…it’s a good job I like chocolates etc I think we’re stocked up now for the next few weeks!…so much for trying to make space in the freezer for the more festive goodies I want to buy ahead of time

Well is a beautiful day where we are in South Ayrshire but the car is solid with ice as are the grass and fields. Love these kind of days. Thinking of going to Culzean Castle for a walk will see where the day takes us.

Nicos, another vote here for Frozen, our granddaughter loves it and can sing the song the whole way through. She is great at picking up song lyrics, me I just make them up as I go along!😀 Hope you weren’t too ‘Frozen’ under your duvet last night!😂

Really sorry to hear your news, Flo. Your GG must be devastated. You too. Thinking of you.

Busy morning doing nothing immediately useful. Hard to see it as time usefully spent, but I suppose it was. Better settle down to some hard work this afternoon though. Definitely not thinking about Christmas yet. As far as I'm concerned, there are at least three months to go before the end of the year.

A non-existent night's sleep

I am absolutely shattered. My online shop arrived earlier, and a delivery from Amazon. Mr GF's new prescription has also been delivered. The occupational therapist has rung to say that she is sending some more equipment and has made another appointment for him for Friday. The district nurse is also due at some point today. Someone also rang to make an appointment to come out out and give Mr GF a flu jab next week.

Evidently, my brother in law fell twice last night and was taken into A and E. I am shortly going to try and track him down if he is not back home soon.

Although it is supposedly 8°C, it feels really cold out ..... unless it is just me. If you were a bit hot last night Nicos, did Mr Nicos notice any difference?🥵🫠

OH said he felt a bit hot..until he pushed the duvet off

I can certainly see the benefit of a separated duvet each, but we already have these which offer 4.5, 9 and 13.5 tog when clipped together…but we’ve never used them like that as we allow heat from the lounge to go up the stairs and into our room overnight.
They were stupidly expensive even in the sales but I honestly love how light they feel, so I’d be very reluctant to swap for something else.

Tis good to hear Mr GF is being sent useful things to improve his - and presumably your- quality of life. I have fingers crossed your BIL is ok

What sad news, Flo. Very sad for your GG and her partner. Hope she gets lots of support over the next few weeks.

Rather upsetting for you, too, Rary, having to deal with a neighbour dying. GF coping with lots of issues too. It seems to be a day for hugs all round.

I'm back from the hairdresser having had a Chelsea Chop! I grew a bob for the wedding hat, but tired of it, so have gone back to short.
Still waiting to hear from my GG, but I'm hoping no news is good news, well, as good as it can be

Saw my first decorated Christmas tree outside a house today, and Classic FM has started playing Christmas music. (About time, I've been playing Xmas songs for a week already 🤗)
