Morning all, morning GF.

I need to get Mr Snoop a clock. He woke me up asking the time. 5.30 am. Never mind. Loads to do today, as I've done next to nothing paid-workwise this week.

In Jack news, he's due a big treat today, as our friend M up the valley will be in residence for a few days and is bringing friends with him. Jack loves having a bigger pack and is very fond of M.

Right, I'd better make the most of this unexpectedly long morning.

Mornin n’alln’all

I crashed out last night- exhausting day of appointments but did manage a sneaky chips and meatballs at IKEA. Half price on a Wednesday! more candles and some little Xmas tree bells…and of course an orchid. Can’t have too many orchids in flower around the house - this one is for my bedroom!

Just off now to take the camper to the local garage for its service and replacement tyres. They will take it to the MOT centre for us ( garages can’t do the test here) so that will be done tomorrow . So there really shouldn’t be any issues about it passing …but who knows

Good morning again.

A slightly more civilised hour. I did manage an hour's sleep, then got up and put my neighbour's and our bins out to be emptied and made coffee. I've just been texting back and forward with one of my sisters who was up and about early. It doesn't seem as early now we're back on GMT, however evenings now seem to start not long after lunchtime.

Having checked my emails, I've just won £102 on the lottery with my lucky dip A nice start to the day.

Sainsburys have evidently got all the items on my shopping list. A delivery now due between 10am and 11am.

I always eagerly check my premium bond winnings (…one can live in hope!)… but how lovely for you to have won a decent amount of money…I hope you’ll treat yourself to something nice with that?…you certainly deserve to!

Camper delivered to the garage..so fingers crossed it passes tomorrow with no problems.

Just having some porridge if anyone fancies a bowl?

Good morning, rather frosty here this morning was just thinking yesterday that some of the flowers were doing very well still in full bloom at this time of
year,, however with this frost that will be them finished now Do all Ikea stores do half price meals on a Wednesday for pensioners, if so I will mark that down as something to look forward to, we are going to try the coffee morning at the church this morning, hopefully OH will manage and be pain free, jf so I will be able to start my work in the greenhouse, right a quick run round with the hoover, move some ornaments etc.when shes not looking and thats the housework
done,so have a good day and remember to pass on the smiles

Good Morning All Congratulations GF, hope it's the first of three. Sunny here so I've been pulling out spent annuals while I'm waiting for the Grory hop. No Frank this week, so I stayed in bed reading until nine. It feels like a day off!

Good morning all, it's pouring rain and windy along eith it so looking like an indoor day as the forecast is not good.
Lots to be getting on with but the garden needed some tidying up.
I took some of my container grown geraniums in to the greenhouse, I didn't want thrm to be waterlogged.

Up before the crack of dawn to try and get through some work. Not been very successful, though. I keep nodding off at the keyboard. Next time I'll just stay in bed a bit longer.

Mornin n’alln’all

Bit of a dull start to the day but it’s not windy nor raining…so that’s a good start.
I’m planning on a slow pottering day today. It’s Halloween so I like to pick orange nasturtium and English marigolds and place them around the lounge…and a few other simple decorations.

Does anyone else do anything?
Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday here - All Souls Day where people take chrysanthemum plants to their loved ones graves and think about loved ones who are no longer around. We don’t do the former but each ear myOH and I talk about happy memories of grandparents, parents and close friends who are missed. I think it’s a nice calm and respectful thing to do and it’s actually very uplifting remembering all those happy memories shared.
We don’t get trick or treaters here…we’re too rural …so no American influences in our hamlet.

Snoop- I do hope you manage to get loads of work done today- it’ll be a relief to catch up.

Right, time for a brew- anyone care to join me?

Good morning all, another rainy day here, in fact I don't think it has stopped since yesterday.
We no longer get trick or treaters in our area as there are no young children.
Tomorrow will be the feast day of all saints so it is a holy day of obligation.

Snoop, yes we had a great holiday with lovely sunny weather, but its hard coming back to grey and rainy.
Hope you manage to,get some work done and catch up on some sleep.

Good morning, the sun was shining first thing this morning but it has just gone very dark and it’s pouring with rain. Chilly too. We have no young children in our street either bramble so no guisers here tonight.
Glad you had a lovely holiday!
Hope you managed some work in between the cat naps Snoop.

A quick question if you guys don’t mind. The guy came yesterday to cut the leylandii (sp) hedge yesterday but in order to access it properly he had to cut a few rather large branches from our two cherry trees. I know this shouldn’t really be done until summer. If I put a dollop of Vaseline on the cut branches do you think that might help prevent disease?

It seems the idea of sealing is now out of favour as somehow it interferes with the trees own ability to heal itself. I think maybe oak and ash might be an exception…but it’s worth doing a ‘bit of a goooooogle’ to double check.
