Morning all.

Foggy here too. We had a fair bit of rain in the night. Have already been out with Jack and it looks like the tracks aren't too bad despite the downpour. Just as well for our visitors, as they're leaving midday.

Had a very productive day yesterday. Extra hands and a tall person really make light work of jobs that are beyond me. Feeling very old, but also very grateful.

Not sure what the afternoon will bring. Probably a nap in there somewhere, maybe a bit of paid work if I can manage it.

Good morning.

Well, apart from a little hiatus around 6.30am to 7am, I had a really good night's sleep, and the duvet is still where it should be. The fog has disappeared, and the sun is shining brightly now. It's still only 7°C outside, though, and the carpet of Autumn leaves is getting thicker.

Tis my OH’s burpday so we are off in the camper to go mushrooming….Deffo a day for whatever he wants to do- all day

Very foggy here today after heavy rain in the night. I have loads of rubbish in the car to take into the village after a bit of a tidy, but I don't fancy driving in these conditions. So will try and get stuff done at home instead. Plenty more stuff to move around to make room for the new fridge and that will inevitably reveal more stuff that could/should be chucked out.

Good morning all.

Are most folk still in bed? It's very quiet. I've had hardly any sleep so, at the first opportunity I'm going to grab 40 winks or so. "Someone" was fidgeting, talking and pinching the quilt intermittently all might. Mr GF says that wasn't him. Gremlins again?

Happy birthday to Mr Nicos. Are you a mushroom expert, Nicos? I'd worry about poisoning myself , although I know one of my grans used to go picking them early in the morning.

I've got something to sort out for my brother in law next and more coffee is in order.

Afternoon all.

Happy Birthday to Mr Nicos. Hope he finds his favourite shrooms. I'm not a great fan of mushrooms, but I do pick and cook field mushrooms when I spot them at this time of year. I've already had a few. I'd never buy shrooms though.

Misty here earlier, but quite mild. Went for a walk and met a lady with 4 extremely well behaved pointers, all running loose. It's so rare to meet well mannered dogs these days. And why do owners put them on a tracking harness instead of a collar? I met a dog wearing one the other day that flung itself at me in spite of being on a lead, the owner had absolutely no control. And no apologies either, good job it wasn't raining or I'd have been covered in muddy paw prints. Rant over

Need to pop to the library now, so I may pop into the GC on the way home to get a new chamaedorea (parlour palm). Mine didn't take to being cut off and replanted. The stem roots that I hoped would keep it going, didn't. It's about the only houseplant that thrives in a rather dark corner in the living room so I shall replace it with another.

Good afternoon, a dull, dreigh day here, was down at the surgery for 9'0 clock and got my stitches removed, so I reckon another couple of weeks and I will be able to get back into the garden, though if OH doesn't see me it could be earlier, I might give sawing some wood a go, after all I will be using my left hand for that, so worth testing the water, so to speak with that, see how that goes, enjoy the day and think on something that makes you smile then pass them on

Evening all…. We’ve had a lovely day thanks- and OH has asked me to thank you all for his birthday wishes.

We saw loads of mushroom but we’re only looking for cepes which we can identify 100%. Sadly we didn’t spot any , but we had a wonderful time wandering through the forest
GF…nope, we aren’t mushroom experts at all but you can take all mushrooms to any pharmacy here and they will identify them there and then and tell you which are very edible, which need special prep before eating ( ie don’t risk it) and which should be binned.

Glad you’ve had your stitches out Rary. Properly on the road to recovery!…finally!

Rubbish nights sleep again…too much birthday cake maybe?

The flu and Covid vaccinations come out here today but I’ll probably leave it until later in the week.
It’s looking like we can crack on again in the garden then…more leaf collecting.
The organic farmer we usually buy our muck and straw from has sadly said he’s not got any spare straw this year so it looks like we’ll be on the hunt for cardboard etc to cover the raised beds.
Anyway..time for a quick brew…help yourselves….

Good Morning All Gloomy and drizzling hers. Just been polishing and hoovering. How do two people create so much dust? Pity you're not near me Nicos, most of my family Have their parcels delivered to me and they leave the many and often large cardboard boxes! Have a good day
