Good morning all.

I 've had a really good night's sleep and it makes such a difference.

It's a lovely sunny morning but we've got rain forecast for this afternoon. We've had rain forecast for every day this week but we still haven't had a decent downpour, just short showers.

I think the thought of coffee is going to lure me out of bed very shortly.

Good morning all, lots of rain overnight and it's still raining.
A fry up here this morning and Sunday, our weekend treat. Bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomato.
A trip to the library this morning and hopefully the weather will improve by this afternoon.

Bit late…sorry about that. Just as well I missed the crumpets tbh…I’d already had some malt loaf. Just one more slice left No idea how I’ve managed to resist it, but I can’t buy it here so one more piece for another day then….

Loads of domestics today. Want to be on top of the gites…our last visitors of the year left this morning…so guess who will be ironing later on today!

No other news…just lots of sorting and packing away etc .

Anyone up to anything exciting this weekend?

This morning I took a bag and some tops to the charity shop and came home with a rather pretty blouse. I rarely wear skirts but it’s handy to a choice of blouses to wear.

Other than that boring domestics, we did get the laundry dry before the rain started.

Afternoon tea time, tea and a Mini chocolate log.

Had a tidy up(ish) after making jams.
OH trying to find something to watch tonight, easier said than done.
Not had rain yet but its trying.

Hi all,we had rain in dribs and drabs,plus the odd good down pour,much better than loads all at once,i noticed a small part of the ground where the grass is going has capped a bit,so need to sort that out when the weather suits,not done any more to the garden,we need a rest,malt loaf nice tast but butter is a must on it,not had any for a long time,but toasted does sound worth a try,today i enjoyed toast with butter a thin spread off marmite toped with bushroom and scrambled egg,boy it really did my taste buds good,your hair looks good bren,thanks for the coffee and crumpets with jam on the top CG,Snoop be careful not to overdo things,hope MR is going on better,have a good evening

Good evening, started working on the last part of the wall retainer, lifted some monoblock then dug out the sand, two of our grandsons had been staying overnight and the older grandson told me to wait a bit and he would give me a hand, so eventually he finished his breakfast and had a shower, half an hour in the shower I told him the next time he's having one I will switch off the electricity after 15minutes, OH and I dont take as long as that when we have a shower, anyway he finally came out but unfortunately the rain started shortly after that, so we had a break till it passed over, got going again for a short time when again the rain came on and this time quite heavy, when I said we would stop he decided to carry on, so to save him from getting a soak and me getting earache from OH , sh still thinks the boys should be wrapped in cottenwool I thought I would try putting up the sunshade, and what a difference covered both of us which allowed us to get the job finished and stay dry, and looking out the window its still raining, so think the heating will be on tonight. Remember no matter what the weather you can still find something to smile about so have a good evening and be happy
